The TecTrends live search works as you type shows results in a drop-down box below the search box. The result list includes the name of the company, TecTerm or product along with some information about it and its popularity. Clicking on a record you are interested will display it (if it is a TecTerm it will display records with that TecTerm).
The live search will display the most relevant records and will limit the results by type if any of the Companies, TecTerms, or Products checkboxes are checked. In order to perform a full search based on what you have typed into the search box you may hit the 'Go' button.
Helpful information on the status of your search is displayed on the line above the search box so you can tell when a search is in progress or if no matches were found. You can also use the Options menu to change the result type filters (checkboxes), browse all records alphabetically using the directory, and search for articles.
To close and open the live search result list click on the down arrow at the right of the search box.

To increase or decrease the size of the live search result list you can click on the [+] or [-] button at the bottom of the live search results.

By default the results are sorted by popularity. To sort by record name click on the 'Name' column header and to sort by popularity click on the 'weight' column header.
