The Iconfactory, founded in 1996, is a full-fledged software and graphic design company that specializes in creating icons. The conglomerate has office facilities in the U.S. and in Sweden. Initially, the founder members of the company started with small, freelance type designing jobs. Iconfactory's products include CandyBar, IconBuilder for both Windows and Macintosh, Download Check, iPulse, xScope, Frenzic, Dine-O-Matic and Twitterific. Iconfactory has designed icons for over 100 clients, including Microsoft and Xbox 360 UI. Iconfactory provides designs for leading companies such as Apple Computer, Aladdin Systems, Cartoon Network Online, Macromedia, Microsoft, Palm, and many others. Twitterrific, an application of Iconfactory, won a prestigious Apple Design Award at the 2008 World Wide Developer Conference in San Francisco, for Best iPhone Application in the Social Networking category.
