Radica USA Limited, also known as Radica Games, is a developer and marketer focused on three markets: Radica Play TV (R) games, girls' electronics products such as Girl Tech (R) and Barbie (TM), and Gamester (R) game equipment. Radica was founded in Hong Kong in 1983. The firm has subsidiaries in North America and England. Radica is a public company (NASDAQ: RADA) that began trading in 1994. Radica customers/distributors include Wal-Mart, Kohl's, Argos, and Toys 'R Us. Radica's unique offerings include the first line of realistic fishing games , which deployed virtual motion-sensing systems; 3D virtual reality equipment; Girl Tech, a pioneering site for girls that offers can electronic diary, privacy tools, shopping, and much more; and the top-selling Scannerz (R), a UPC scanner for products, collectibles, and game pieces. Radica partnered with Microsoft to offer Xbox (TM) peripherals.
